2026 CIM Bib Transfers

Transfer your Full Marathon entry to another runner – For Gold, Orange and Late marathon entry holders ONLY.  If you are currently registered for the full marathon but would like to transfer your entry to another runner you will have the option to do so during the transfer window October 1 – November 17. (Please visit our message board below). If you are looking to transfer your marathon entry to the relay click here for more information.

  • Here is how it works:
    • Visit the CIM Race Roster page
    • Click the blue ‘Transfer’ button and log into your account
    • Click ‘Transfer to a New Registrant’
    • Enter the new runner’s email address
  • The new runner will receive an email with an invitation to complete the transfer
  • The new runner will pay $230 ($180 entry fee plus the $50 transfer fee) for the ability to register with a transferred entry. All money will be exchanged through Race Roster, do not exchange any money outside Race Roster
  • The new runner will not have the ability to transfer the entry again.
  • The new runner will not have the option to transfer to the relay, even if relay registration is still open.
  • The new runner will not have the option to defer.
  • The original runner will receive a refund of their entry fee.
  • Bib transfers apply to marathon entries ONLY. Add-ons (VIP, Run the Parkway, etc.) do not transfer.
  • Please Note: The new runner will be assigned a Blue Entry.

Late Entries, please note – your race entry fee ($230) will be refunded, but the charity portion ($150) of the entry is non-refundable.

To utilize this transfer platform:

    1. Register on this site to be able to post, and comment, in the dialog box below.
    2. An activation email will be sent to the email you used to register for this site. It will be from “SRA Sites” please check your spam or junk mailbox for the email if you do not see it in your inbox.
    3. Once your account has been activated you my log into this message board and begin posting.
    4. Your initial post must be approved by a site moderator in an attempt to limit bots and scammers. Subsequent posts will not be held for moderation.
    5. Post your bib availability, or reply to an existing posted availability.
    6. Follow the conversation until you reach an agreement with an individual to receive their transferred bib.
    7. To finalize the transfer on Race Roster following the steps at the top of this page.

    I am a 45 year old father of two. My wife wanted to run a half marathon this year so I started running with her to be supportive. That slowly progressed into the most fun I’ve ever had running in my adult life. I ran the Portland Marathon last Sunday and the end of the course was so hard that my BQ time came and went and I missed it by 2 minutes.     Olympic trial hopeful mom(of 4) looking for a bib to my FIRST CIM. After a severe ankle sprain last year, I’ve been trying to get my racing legs back. February-May of this year I did not run because my ankle once again had a torn ligament(did not fully heal from months before). Finally feel like my legs are working well now and I want to give CIM a shot.

    My wife is a pole vaulter. When she announced that she wanted to run a half marathon this January I started jogging with her in solidarity. I had burned myself out on running 7 years earlier and never thought I’d get back into it seriously again.

    Bit by bit she and I both got in better shape and discovered that just about every aspect of our lives improved along with our fitness.

    The Eugene half marathon was in April and the experience was wonderful. She had her fill and I kept going.

    My running routine has made me a better father and husband. My wife has been incredibly supportive and she and I have hatched a plan to structure twice-a-year family vacations around a marathon race.

    The small hiccup in the plan is that I missed the Boston Qualifying time by 2 minutes when I ran the Portland Marathon last Sunday. I was on track to exceed it but that course had too many hills in the final miles and I faded! Grrr.

    I signed up for Carlsbad Marathon in January but CIM would save me a bunch of money and the course is faster too.

    I don’t want our plans to get set back by another year… Help me get qualified!
