2026 CIM Bib Transfers

Transfer your Full Marathon entry to another runner – For Gold, Orange and Late marathon entry holders ONLY.  If you are currently registered for the full marathon but would like to transfer your entry to another runner you will have the option to do so during the transfer window October 1 – November 17. (Please visit our message board below). If you are looking to transfer your marathon entry to the relay click here for more information.

  • Here is how it works:
    • Visit the CIM Race Roster page
    • Click the blue ‘Transfer’ button and log into your account
    • Click ‘Transfer to a New Registrant’
    • Enter the new runner’s email address
  • The new runner will receive an email with an invitation to complete the transfer
  • The new runner will pay $230 ($180 entry fee plus the $50 transfer fee) for the ability to register with a transferred entry. All money will be exchanged through Race Roster, do not exchange any money outside Race Roster
  • The new runner will not have the ability to transfer the entry again.
  • The new runner will not have the option to transfer to the relay, even if relay registration is still open.
  • The new runner will not have the option to defer.
  • The original runner will receive a refund of their entry fee.
  • Bib transfers apply to marathon entries ONLY. Add-ons (VIP, Run the Parkway, etc.) do not transfer.
  • Please Note: The new runner will be assigned a Blue Entry.

Late Entries, please note – your race entry fee ($230) will be refunded, but the charity portion ($150) of the entry is non-refundable.

To utilize this transfer platform:

    1. Register on this site to be able to post, and comment, in the dialog box below.
    2. An activation email will be sent to the email you used to register for this site. It will be from “SRA Sites” please check your spam or junk mailbox for the email if you do not see it in your inbox.
    3. Once your account has been activated you my log into this message board and begin posting.
    4. Your initial post must be approved by a site moderator in an attempt to limit bots and scammers. Subsequent posts will not be held for moderation.
    5. Post your bib availability, or reply to an existing posted availability.
    6. Follow the conversation until you reach an agreement with an individual to receive their transferred bib.
    7. To finalize the transfer on Race Roster following the steps at the top of this page.

    trained for months for a BQ attempt at Berlin. I poured everything into that cycle, and going into race week I suddenly felt sick. I tried to stay hopeful and decided to run anyway, but the day turned into something I never expected. I ended up needing medical help multiple times on the course. I finished, but nowhere close to the goal I’d worked so hard for.
    I’m hoping for a second chance at CIM while the training is still in my legs. If anyone has a bib available to transfer, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

    Why you should consider me for your CIM bib transfer? A few compelling reasons:

    1. Today is my birthday and you would absolutely make my day!!!!
    2. I have been training since August with a very ambitious sub three hour goal.

    Hello Friends –

    In 2024 my 3 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. I was never a runner before but distance running emerged for me as a way to manage the stresses that came along with a 2.5year long treatment cycle. I have now run 5 marathons… all in my daughter’s honor and mainly for charity.

    I am looking to purchase a bib because my fitness is now at a level where I could run a BQ time at CIM and it is a dream of mine to run Boston as I have already completed 4 of the other majors (and will be running my 5th major – London 2027 to benefit Children with Cancer UK).     Hi everyone,

    I’ve been training super hard all summer and fall to run the NYC marathon for a second time, but I fortunately (and also unfortunately) got a new job that will have me splitting time between the east coast and CA. Due to this change in plans, I now have a conflict and can’t run the NYC marathon 🙁

    I would love to kick off my time in CA and new job with another marathon, instead. One of my sisters is also running, and it would be so great to make it a family event (our parents said they would come watch and support if we’re both running!).

    I know a lot of people are looking for bibs, but I would be so so grateful and excited to be able to run my second ever marathon in a new state.

    For everyone: I am seeing people on Strava saying they have a bib to transfer and asking to pay before they can transfer. I am assuming they are all fraud. Just wanted to warn everyone to avoid scams.
